Leadership in Renewable Energy
CHAIRMAN AND CO-FOUNDER – Vincent S. Perez, Jr
Mr. Perez brings more than 30 years of finance, energy and political experience to Solar Pacific. As Philippine Energy Secretary (2001-2005), he launched the country’s 10-year Renewable Policy Framework, and subsequently served as Vice Chairman of the National Renewable Energy Board from 2009-2010. Mr. Perez has served as Partner and Head of Emerging Markets Group at Lazard Frères Investment Bank in London and New York from 1987-1997. He brings 17 years of capital markets experience in emerging countries in Asia and Latin America, and has founded several private enterprises including Alternergy Partners, a renewable energy company. Mr. Perez was Director and Co-Investor in NorthWind Power, the first wind farm in Southeast Asia. He is Chairman of WWF-Philippines & Trustee WWF-International. Mr. Perez is an MBA lecturer on renewable energy at Yale University and continues to serve on the board of the Center for Business and Environmental at Yale. Mr. Perez holds an MBA from Wharton Business School.
CEO AND CO-FOUNDER – Michael Lichtenfeld
Mr. Lichtenfeld has more than 10 years of experience in renewable energy, project management, and finance in the US and abroad. He has held leadership positions in solar energy companies MMA Renewable Ventures LLC, Fotowatio SL (FRV), and SunEdison, LLC, where he served as Director of Utility Solar Development. He has managed a portfolio of over 300MW of solar development assets and has closed more than $250 million in solar project financings. His background includes investment banking with UBS, private equity investing at Blue Wolf Capital Management in New York, and conservation finance at The Nature Conservancy – Indonesia. He is proficient in Bahasa Indonesia. Mr. Lichtenfeld holds an MBA and MEM from Yale University.
