Vince Pérez

Founder & Chairman, Solar Pacific

Vince is co-founder and chairman of Solar Pacific. Vince served as Philippine Energy Secretary (2001-2005) and briefly as Industry Secretary. He is also chairman of Alternergy, the renewable energy parent company of Solar Pacific.

Vince built his career in investment banking, becoming the first Asian General Partner at Lazard Frères and heading Lazard’s Emerging Markets Group. He is founder of Next Century Capital, a private equity firm, and was chairman of El Nido Resorts, a luxury ecotourism destination. Vince sits on the boards of Banco de Oro (BDO) Universal Bank, Pictet Clean Energy Fund, Bhutan Foundation, and Yale Center for Business & the Environment. He was founding trustee and chairman of WWF-Philippines and a board member of WWF-International, WWF-China and WWF-US. Vince holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School and was a World Fellow at Yale University.

Mike Lichtenfeld

Founder & CEO, Solar Pacific

Mike is co-founder and CEO of Solar Pacific. He brings more than 20 years of experience in clean energy projects, technology, and finance. He has held leadership positions in solar companies MMA Renewable Ventures, Fotowatio (FRV), and at SunEdison where he served as Director of Utility Solar Development. He has managed a portfolio of over 300MW of solar development assets and has closed more than $275 million in solar project financings. His background also includes investment banking with UBS, and environmental finance at The Nature Conservancy (Indonesia). Mr. Lichtenfeld holds an holds an MBA and a Master of Environmental Management from from Yale University.

Gerry Magbanua

President, Alternergy

Gerry is co-founder and president of Alternergy, the renewable energy parent company of Solar Pacific. Gerry has held leadership positions in SGV, an Ernst & Young affiliate, and InterGen, a leading global greenfield power developer, and he served as Alternegy’s Chief Financial Officer for 10 years before becoming President. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the Philippine School of Business Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant.
